This improves the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to pick up finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tested, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It is able to change its course automatically and clean them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml tank of water. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to take the mount off for washing manually.
